Crane’s Country Store began as Harrison and Crane in Mineola in 1899, and was later bought by Benjamin Crane and renamed B.R. Crane & Sons. It was in 1920 that Sam Crane moved this general store to Williamsburg and renamed Crane’s & Sons. Still staying in the family who uphold the traditional running of this general store, Crane’s Country Store is now operated by Joe Crane and his son David.
The Cranes continually strive to provide the town with a true general store, meeting place and community center, and even where you can find out how much rain fell in Williamsburg the night before. Now Crane’s brings their storied history and a taste of a simpler life online.
